LOWARA was founded by two brothers in 1968 near Vincenza (northern Italy). In 1978, having mastered laser cutting and welding technologies, the plant began to produce pumps, mainly (80%) from stainless steels. In 1980, the first all-plastic pump was launched. In 1985 the firm was acquired by GouldsPumps, Inc.

Today the company has several manufacturing plants in the European Union and is part of the Xylem Inc. concern. In line with the policy of the XylemInc concern, LOWARA continues to constantly improve technology by introducing the latest engineering and design solutions, for example, the latest invention of the company’s engineers, the LowaraEcocirc pump, was awarded the Plus-X Award – an award that is awarded for the development of exceptional quality and high environmental friendliness.
